About Dez
DEZ Engineering began with three engineers, Reza, Sophie, and Hamed, who shared the same frustration: they knew how much more they could accomplish if they were free to bring their best ideas, experience, and judgment to a project without the layers and limitations of the large companies where they had built their careers.
Reza started the conversation and invited Sophie and Hamed to build something together—an engineering firm that would be technically rigorous, practical, responsive, and just a little less interested in corporate bureaucracy.
The name DEZ comes from the Dez Dam in Iran, one of the first projects Reza worked on as a young engineer in the early 2000s, and a fitting symbol for where the journey began.
Today, the three bring together deep experience across complex infrastructure, design, construction, and project delivery, with a simple goal: combine big-project capability with the focus, creativity, and personal commitment of a small team.
